The DC Universe is about to enter "Convergence" and will introduce heroes of the past and villains of the future headed towards a new world. Earth 2 is about to get doomed as our heroes face a formidable foe. Superman is at crisis and his identity is lost. The other superheroes are in conflicts and is about to enter a world they are not prepared for. Will the DCU in the comic books manage to materialize itself in cinemas as they enter a new frontier?
Telos is introduced in the earlier chapters of the "Convergence" comic series. He is the creation of Brainiac and is almost as powerful as God. Brainiac collects doomed worlds, including Earth 2 and commands them to battle against each other. Losers will be destroyed so our heroes are left with no choice but to bend on Brainiac's whims in order to survive. The mystery on whether Brainiac is really in command remains, as his arrogant "son" Telos begins to dream of a world and kingdom of his own. A movie adapted from these comic series is most likely something we can look forward to from DC.
A new era awaits and one of Earth's strongest heroes suddenly loses his identity. Superman is lost as he returns to the Fortress of Solitude after the devastating events on Earth with Lois Lane. When will he find his way back to becoming the superhero that he was? The "Convergence" has really brought a burden even to the strongest heroes of Earth. The rest of the Justice League are preparing for a new dawn. Batman is now heavily armored while Aquaman bears a new costume and tattoos. Will Superman manage to get back on his feet again?
Several DC Heroes will be separately highlighted in the "Convergence" issues of DC. Shazam for one will grace the pages "Convergence." Jeff Parker and artist Evan Shaner will be part of the two-month "Convergence" event highlighting Shazam's Story. Readers will get the chance to go back in time wherein superheroes are still whimsical and considerably innocent than what they are today. Captain Marvel, now known as Shazam will be featured during his life changes since his introduction in 1939. Fawcett City will be gracing the comic pages in the next issues of the "Convergence" comics.
As the DC Universe does into transition and reaches its "Convergence" point, the idea of a movie based on the events in these comic book series is something worthy of a blockbuster hit in the future. Superman's dilemma can be considered as temporary and his identity crisis, nothing severe. After all, heroes have the biggest will to fight amongst us.
