EADS Denies Revival of BAE-Merger Deal

By

EADS has said that it has no interest in reviving its deal to merger with BAE system, implying confidence and satisfaction of defense share within its over activities dominated by commercial jet unit Airbus, according to sources close to the matter.

The company's chief executive Tom Enders said in a news conference that they are not discussing about the deal, which was hampered by the opposition of Germany's government. Its strategy chief added that they no longer have contact with EADs about joint ventures in missiles and fighters, insisting that the tie-up has been out of their business plans.

A report from the Financial Times noted that chief executive Enders had still interest in at least completing the merger deal.
