Stars Wars Rebels season 2 is about to come back and fans all over the world might not just expect a much better but also more episodes as updates are stating that they had already recorded "nearly twice as many episodes" as the first season.
In regards to the story of the upcoming season it will most probably develop around the growing Rebellion against the Empire. During the previous season it was revealed that several Rebel cells are scattered across the galaxy to fight back the Empire so fans are speculating that these Rebel cells will form an alliance from the original Trilogy.
New characters can also be expected to appear on the next seasons, according to sources, Darth Vader and two dark side characters, a square-jawed male and a more lithe female will appear on the next season. Filoni and Kinberg refuse to give details on the two new characters but fans are dropping names and it seems like the two is Asaji Ventress, Barriss Offee, or Dhara Leonis.
On the previous episodes Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Zeb Orrelios and Chopper make up the crew of the Ghost. The Ghost aims to prevent the Empire and start the rebellion across the galaxy. These characters did nothing but rebel against the empire relying on the fact that they have a Jedi among the crew.
Kanan on the other hand managed to escape Order 66 when he was still a young Padawan and went to hiding there he also met a young boy named Ezra and after developing a bond with the boy Kanan decided to take Ezra as his apprentice. With Ezra by his side, Kanan set out to bring peace to the galaxy.
