Bones' fans can expect another season coming up as the show is confirmed to comeback with season 11. 20th Century Fox TV, the show's producer announced the renewal of the one the longest running TV shows of the channel after it closed new deals with show's stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz.
Both of the show's lead stars' contracts will end after season 10 and this leaves the fans curious as to whether of not the show will be renewed. Season 10 also suffered from a major decline of ratings and viewership performance adding more fuel the season 10 will the conclusion the series.
Up to the last episode, Bones has averaged 7.7 million viewers and a 2.0 rating and that already includes DVR playback. Despite the major setback of the show's rating Fox chose to consider the series as it is one of the most popular and longest running shows of the channel.
Meanwhile, the show's showrunner Stephen Nathan who has been responsible for running the show since its very first season confirms that indeed he is stepping down from his position in order to focus on other projects at Fox.
Bones' executive producer Jonathan Collier and co executive producer Michael Peterson will take command of the show's new episode although Fox had informed the fans that Nathan hopes to re-join the series for season 11.
The show follows the story of Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan and FBI special agent Seeley Booth and the federal legal cases that they are handling, the two specializes in examining the human remains of possible murder victims. While Dr. Brennan and her team provide scientific expertise on the cases they are solving, Special Agent Booth provides criminal investigation technique and answers. Also, the show has been running for almost a decade with its first season airing on September of 2005,
Bones follows the story of Bones will be joining other previously renewed shows such as Empire and Sleepy Hollow.
