Xperia Z3 was updated with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 and a glimpse of how the Android update will change user experience was caught on cam. Sony Xperia Z3 is possibly the most updated Android phone that is not a Nexus.
Sony Xperia Z3 had its last known update in March 2015 until a video surfaced claiming to be the Z3 with a Lollipop 5.1.1 update. The new update will reportedly update and notify users with WiFi and Bluetooth devices shown in the notification panel. Aside from minor improvements, it is also expected to solve bug issues with the previous version. The leaked video shows a little bit of what to expect in Android's upcoming update.
A source from Wayerless posted a video of the Sony Xperia Z3 interface activities in an updated Android Lollipop 5.1.1. The video highlights the shortcuts for WiFi and Bluetooth connections. The video maker also points out that the Walkman app was replaced by "Music" along with new icons in the settings menu. The video also shows a few new animations in the icons. If the video in its entirety shows that Android 5.1.1 update works well and efficient in the Xperia Z3, then it will repute issues being reported lately.
Telstra, a mobile operator in Australia reported that their tests for an Android 5.1.1 build on Sony Xperia Z, Son Xperia Z1 and Sony Xperia Z1 compact line came across "show stopping issues." The company will reportedly redo the test in July and is hoping to push the update by August. It is not yet clear wether the problem arise from the build or from the implementation.
Xperia Z3 could be the most updated Android phone so far although not in general. The latest Android update will be coming anytime soon and judging by the alleged Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update on Z3 video, it could be a lot of things to look forward to.
