After defeating the Filipino boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao in the so-called "Fight of the Century" last May 2, the still undefeated five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has already celebrated his win in his official victory party last weekend.
It is reported that last Friday, Floyd hit the Los Angeles nightclub Lure together with some of Hollywood's biggest stars for his official victory party.
Bow Wow, Keyshia Cole and Justin Combs along with Disc Jockeys Dirty Draws and Branden King were said to have partied with the 38-year-old boxer who wasn't nearly as low key as the last time he went to Lure. The pound for pound king then turned up the night with his gal pal Bad Medina.
Meanwhile, the camp of Mayweather is said to have been discussing a rematch with the camps of Pacquiao after the May 2 "Battle for Greatness" which racked in close to $600 million in revenue.
Mayweather has previously offered a rematch to the Filipino boxer but retracted the idea after Pacquiao claimed that he was fighting with a shoulder injury which caused the former to call Pacquiao a coward and sore loser.
Pacquiao, who went back to the Philippines after undergoing shoulder surgery, believed he won about 7 rounds of the fight. Now, the eight-division world champion is thinking of either retiring or seeking a rematch with the undefeated Mayweather.
An insider claims that a part two of the fight "is already being "negotiated" and that "the fight will be the first event at the under-construction MGM-AEG arena set to open next year."
Though there is still no confirmation about the rematch, it still seems unlikely as Pacquiao reportedly needs to rehabilitate his shoulder first before he is allowed to go back to training camp. Also, it took five years of planning before the "Battle for Greatness" happened, so even though the rumors are true, their next fight will surely be not anytime soon.
