Wayward Pines, Fox's newest thriller TV show caught the attention of the audience with numerous twists and turns and star-studded casts. The show, which premiered on May 14, 2015, started to give the spooky feeling and the great adventure that lies behind the mystery of the seemingly simple town.
The series stars Matt Dillion who portrays the role Ethan Burke, a U.S secret service agent who investigates the mysterious disappearance of two federal agents in a small town in Idaho.
The first episode entitled "Paradise is Home" (the motto of the town) which leads to multiple speculations, starts with a bloody eyed and beat-up Ethan Burke who was lying in some random forest before one could start asking questions the show then went on a flashback to Ethan in Seattle who seemed to undergo a counseling after a fatal attack to which Ethan is convinced that he was at fault for a fatal bombing attack.
Then we're introduced to one of the missing agents, Kate , ( played by Carla Gugino) who was in a extramarital affair with Ethan. Then yet again back to the hazy Ethan who just got out of the woods and into the road who later on found out that he was indeed in "Wayward Pines, Idaho after asking the coffee-shop cashier his whereabouts.
Ethan then wakes up to a spooky looking hospital where a mysteriously looking Nurse Pam who informs him that he was in a massive car accident and has suffered a concussion and some cracked ribs.
After further inquiries and making it outside of the hospital weirder as he found himself in a bar where is he meets Beverly who passes him with note which supposedly would contain her address but instead a written clue that reads, "The are no crickets in Wayward Pines". After checking in at Wayward's only Hotel, Ethan then goes for a search for Beverly's address only to find himself in an abandoned abode in an overgrown yard which inside hides the moldering corpse of the other missing agent, Agent Evans.
After more weird things happened, Ethan finds himself face to face with 1950's styled Kate who apparently is now married to "Harold". After trying to escape the town Ethan finds himself in an electric fence blocking all routes beyond eith a not so welcoming sign that reads, "Return to Wayward Pines. Beyond this point you will die" which was supported by Sheriff Pope who followed him to the border because when Ethan asks him how to get out of town he answered, "You don't"
Wayward Pines is based on a novel Pines by Blake Crouch, the first season a 10-episode cycle is set to have its second episode entitled "Don't discuss your life before" is set to air on May 21, 2015.
