This was first announced during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, which Portman attended for her diretorial debut of "A Tale Of Love And Darkness" that she both directed and starred in.

"Black Swan" actress Natalie Portman will be starring in the film that is to be directed by Chilean director Pablo Larrain. The script of the biopic is said to be written by Noah Oppenheim. According to reports, the plot of the film will center on the next four days of the former first lady after her husband, former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated.

"Jackie" will be based on the 1963 event and will tackled how the former first lady became an icon despite losing her husband and almost everything she had in her life.
