Simple Minds with the lead singer James Kerr performed the popular '80s hit 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' and the whole audience sang along and rose to their feet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
As to the question of 'The Breakfast Club' remake, many opposed to the idea, including the cast themselves. While the movie is timeless and universal, both Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy don't want to have a remake of the film.
Ringwald said that instead of remaking the film, why not create a movie that is inspired by it. She even added that anyone who would like to make 'The Breakfast Club' inspired movie should also include different races because the film is purely white. Not just racial but all kinds of diversity.
