Now that a member has left the all-female band Girls' Generation, and some of the other members are carving out names for themselves, people can't help but wonder if a disbandment will eventually happen.
Meantime, SM Entertainment, who has been at the 'the eye of the storm' over departures of popular members of boy bands and girl groups, has conducted largest global auditions in the last couple of months.
News of a Girls' Generation disbandment has been swirling for months, intensifying after the official announcement of Jessica Hung's departure from the popular K-pop girl band. The chart-topping band recently released its fifth studio album.
It's interesting to note that k-pop artists have been sought by apparel & cosmetics firms as well as prestigious magazines for pictorials. Seohyun is among the most high-profile among the girls Seohyun also forms the official subunit TaeTiSeo (formed by SM Entertainment in 2012) with Taeyeon and Tiffany that has represented fashion lines.
It's evident the girls can rock a glam look, given their lissome bodies and peaches & cream complexion. When the opportunity arises, Seohyun even serves as advocate of healthy living, having expressed the many benefits of a steady workout regimen.
A sound body certainly helps the girls keep up with their numerous work commitments. Girls' Generation's energetic moves & multiple booty shakes for the track "Catch Me If You Can" highlight that the girls have more than the vocal range and pretty faces to hit it big outside their homefront.
Girls' Generation recently performed in Japan and is staging its Korean comeback. A couple of months ago, the K-pop girl group that has acquired a huge fanbase and has become very much in demand worldwide also performed at the Malaysia Formula 1 Grand Prix Post Race Party. Indeed, the Girls' Generation's eight members are showing that the girl band is intact and busy as ever.
That's the current state of the girl band. The future may spell even more exciting opportunities for the individual members, so an eventual Girls' Generation disbandment is not totally ruled out yet. To date, more people are noticing how fans all over the world are echoing in social media and live appearances, "don't stop being cute!" Add electrifying to that.
