EXO Tao, SM Entertainment finally faces in court

By

It's written on the wall, ex-EXO singer Tao and mother group SM Entertainment are all but history. It's ironic but as hard as it is for many to admit -both for Korean and Chinese fans - things are definitely not well between the two entities, talent and talent producer/manager. The only time the two entities - formerly forged by a business contract gone haywire - could possibly be together again is in the confines of a courtroom.

Already, SM Entertainment is facing legal action left and right and center. And Huang Zitao's cause could be next. Huang Zitao is Tao's Chinese name.

To date, Tao is taking a breather, travelling to the U.S. of late to get his injuries healed and possibly realign his career. And fans are calling him back home, getting into twitter all the emotions they have, all the loving they need from their distant idol.

Seemingly, SM Entertainment is attracting all the hate in the world. Words like "slave driver" have been thrown around online and a slew of artists both current and former and crying in unison against the K-Pop progenitor.

Below are some of the talents that have sued SM Entertainment:

  • Three former TVXQ members
  • Super Junior's Hankyung
  • EXO's Kris
  • EXO's Luhan

To note, Luhan and Kris (Wu Yi Fan) filed exactly the same lawsuit: nullification of exclusive contract with SME. The rumor mill is already a-churning about ex-EXO Tao's lawsuit filed by his father against the Korean talent agency.

It's no surprise if legally, things materialize as rumored. Not too long ago, Tao's father was fuming mad about the fate of his son under the agency and he didn't keep his feelings to himself, littering the online world in the process with his anger.

But don't be caught off-guard too. This early, SM Entertainment could be prepping itself for a legal backlash.

Already, the Korean company has stopped printing Tao's version - which incidentally is the most sold-out version - of the group's Exodus album. Yeah, this relationship could still end up a classic. SM Entertainment and ex-EXO Tao in a legal turmoil.
