'Tomorrowland' indeed is a movie that is very far from what's being showed on today's silver screens. Trend in movies these days are usually live-actions or sequels. But 'Tomorrowland' is much different, though it is a sci-fi film, it does not focus on zombies or life-threatening games. And if you risk watching the movie, you can say the words "expect the unexpected."
Brad Bird's "Tomorrowland" is already gaining positive feedbacks, though it was not yet officially released worldwide. With today's trend of movies that are usually sequels or live-actions, "Tomorrowland" will definitely bring you to another level of imagination.
Though the movie is not released yet worldwide, it already gained positive feedbacks. "Tomorrowland" is such an incredible creation, which was carefully planned and thought of. Because it's a stand-alone movie, it does not have a "backup," unlike sequels or book-based films.
Brad Bird also discussed about his "anti-negativity" stand on making films. ''I feel like so many directors aren't seeing the alternative and I think so many of those films don't do the future justice - while entertaining to watch - I don't want to live in those realities and I don't want robots to kill me or zombies trying to eat me,'' Bird said.
Regarding Bird's outlook on filmmaking, he said that Disney always has a message about trying to make the world a better place, that why he made his movie that way. "Walt Disney had a vision of the future where science wasn't the enemy,'' he added.
"Tomorrowland" follows a teenager named Casey (Britt Robertson) who got a mysterious pin and brought her to an unimaginative dimension, and then she meets a man named Frank (George Clooney). The adventure starts as they have received transmissions from Tomorrowland about the end of the world which will take place sooner than expected.
Witness 'Tomorrowland' in theaters this May 22.
