The light novel series Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken is now officially set to get its very own anime adaptation in the immediate future.

News of the light novel series becoming an anime came from visual novel developer âge. Official word about the anime adaptation will be found in the July issue of Tech Gian magazine, according to Crunchy Roll.

Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken tells the story of the East German Army's 666th TSF Squadron. The story follows the squadron as they engage in both armed combat and political conflict. The squadron routinely utilizes unconventional tactics in order to accomplish their goals and defeat their enemies.

Muv-Luz Schwarzesmarken is set in an alternate reality version of 1983. The new anime adaptation is expected to take input from the novel's author, Kouki Yoshimune. Hiroki Ushida also had a hand in the creation of the novel's story while the illustrations were done by Carnelian, according to Moetron.

The story of Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken takes place 18 years prior to the events of yet another novel from the franchise, entitled Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. The two novels are spinoffs of the original Muv-Luv Alternative which was released all the way back in 2006, according to the Anime News Network.

Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken follows in the footsteps of numerous other sci-fi themed anime series such as Neon Genesis Evangelion and the Gundam franchise. Previous anime shows featuring this particular sci-fi theme have done well, making the choice to create an anime adaptation of Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken an unsurprising move.

The Muv-Luv franchise has also been doing well, even managing to form its own substantial fan base, and those fans figure to follow when Schwarzesmarken gets its own series. Two new video games based on novels from the Muv-Luv franchise are also slated to be released in the near future. The two games are tentatively named Schwarzesmarken Koketsu no Monsho and Schwarzesmarken Junkyosha-tachi.

The anime adaptation of Muv-Luv Schwarzesmarken is set to arrive in the fall.
