United State's Allscripts Healthcare Solutions said it bought Israel's dbMotion, a software provider for the healthcare industry, in a deal worth $235 million, according to the financial news website of Calcalist.
Allscripts is the major distributors of the products of dbMotion and both companies agreed on a partnership for the development of healthcare information sharing software.
DbMotion's healthcare information-sharing system has the capability of allowing medical personnel securing access to medical data using any of the websites on the network.
The Israeli company was about to raise $50 million from venture capital funds such as Vertex, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Gemini and Pitango.
Allscripts, with a market value of $2.15 billion, is a provider of healthcare systems that allows sharing of patient records in hospital.
DbMotion has not yet responded to the deal.
