What's the real score between one of Hollywood's mavericks, Leonardo DiCaprio & singer Rihanna? The two famous celebrities who have climbed to superstardom out of sheer talent and hard work have been the subject of wild rumors that they're "friends with benefits."
It seems like rumor mongers and onlookers have shifted attention from Jelena to RIonardo, but neither Leo nor RiRi has confirmed a romantic involvement. Entertainment insiders have pointed out that it's Leonardo DiCaprio's close friend Richie Akiva, not the "Titanic " & "The Great Gatsby" star whom the Grammy award-winning songbird has been dating.
Sightings of Rihanna and Leo together over the past several months - spending the holidays in a luxury island, celebrating New Year's Eve, clubbing, celebrating the pop/R&B princess' birthday with friends, to other recent occasions - have fanned the flames of controversy.
Years back, Leo has been quoted as saying that it's crazy how some people can't seem to see how he can have friends of both sexes without wild rumors being circulated.
Back in August, Rihanna had quoted Leonardo when she said she's living by his words of 'avoiding obviousness.' Whether she regards it as good advice from a "friend" for her future liaisons or some sort of rule that both of them need to stick to as a couple is anybody's guess. One thing's for certain: Rihanna seems done with brawling boyfriends and has certainly made this summer rock, spending much time with and cozying up with a guy she likes.
It may be a matter of time before the "FourFiveSeconds" singer who has been juggling singing commitments with endorsements (exuding sensuality and glamour in Dior's Secret Garden campaign) and acting finally reveals what she has or had with Leonardo DiCaprio. It'll be recalled that several years ago, Rihanna and Drake denied any romantic involvement but five years later, they rekindled the sparks and went from casual dating to exclusive dating. Will RiRi and Leo eventually take a similar path? Leo has admitted in interviews he's not the type who settles. Indeed, he has always found someone new to focus his attention on.
