Jules Bianchi Recovery Update: Co-F1 racer Fernando Alonso recollects Marussia driver’s star performance in 2014 Monaco Grand Prix; Family continues hoping for a miracle

The current update on Jules Bianchi's recovery continues to resound the unchanging condition of the race driver. Nonetheless, his family and friends continues to feed him strength through hope that he will eventually improve. Co-racers even reminisce about his achievements and well wish that he would just come back to astound them again.

Jules Bianchi, at age 25, met an unfortunate accident in the Japanese Grand Prix last October 5, 2014. It was a wet race and he had a collision with a recovery tractor. Since then he has been unconscious. Currently, he is receiving care in Nice's University Hospital trauma wing. This is situated 13 miles away where F1's encamped for the high profile street race on Sunday.

Despite the situation of Jules, his father, Philippe Bianchi, tries to be optimistic and faithful. In an interview on Canal+, a French TV station, he says, "While there's life, there's hope, even though after a while you are hoping for a miracle. Every day the phone is by our side. When we get up, we think of Jules' life but we think also of this death."

The father shows that they, who are staying strong for Jules, are still aware of the other possibility should things not go as they would want to. Philippe adds, "We have to think about death because we are in a situation where we know a lot of things can happen. It's terrible."

Jules Bianchi's dad is informed that his son's case has become stagnant and that recovery in a neurological sense is uncertain. This implies that his chances of regaining consciousness and proper functioning are very slim.

To add to Philippe's sentiments, co-racer Fernando Alonso also had an interview with AutoSport where he recollected about Jules Bianchi's achievements. He shared, "It's some kind of miracle. That is what Jules did last year, ninth place here. He was the star of the race. Now, to come here again and not see him together with us on the grid is very sad."

It is clear from this current update on Jules Bianchi recovery that the Marussia F1 driver is not the only one carrying the burden of the accident. Family, friends, and co-racers are consistently extending strength to him and rooting for his recovery that he would one day wake up. Keep posted for the next update on his status.
