It's been twenty years since the original Independence Day obliterated the world's most famous landmarks in a hail of laser fire, and naturally that means some of the film's cast members can't return to the upcoming sequel. Will Smith won't be taking part in Independence Day 2, but his wife- played by Vivica A Fox in the original- has agreed to reprise her role.
There's just one glaring issue... could Fox's recent behaviour jeopardize her place in the continuing Independence Day franchise? It's no secret that she's been in a bitter hate-rivalry with her Celebrity Apprentice co-star Kenya Moore for what feels like forever. Recently, Fox stated outright that the'll harbor a grudge against Moore forever (although she'd be nicer if Moore would apologize) and spew a few insults towards Moore's recent scandal involving a married man.
"If she was woman enough to admit what she did on Celerity Apprentice, and if we could sit down and have a face-to-face talk... absolutely I would. I will forgive her, but I will never forget."
"About the whole engagement thingy... yet another stunt, and I wish she would stop," Fox declared. "Kenya, you are a beautiful girl. You do not have to do these stunts, and I wish you would stop."
Could this kind of behaviour cause problems on the Independence Day 2 set? Fox has also had problems with Jimmy Kimmel- she walked off his show in the middle of an interview in a huff, and the late-night host responded by permanently banning her from the program. Kimmel later claimed that he thought Fox was on drugs... something that Fox did not take kindly to at all.
What do you think? Will Independence Day 2 survive with Vivica A Fox onboard, or will we hear about more on-set blowups before the film ends up in theaters? Either way, Independence Day 2 is set to re-explode all our most famous buildings on June 24, 2016.
