Josh Duggar sex abuse allegations confirmed; State trooper who lead the case imprisoned for child pornography

Josh Duggar confirmed sex-abuse allegations, and no investigations were made regarding his case. He later resigned from his job in Family Research Center, on Thurday. The 19 kids and counting star Josh Duggar confessed to sexually asaulting five underage girls when he was a teenager. A police report in 2006 reportedly states about Duggar's commission of sexual violations to four of his siblings and one other victim.

The incidents reportedly happened in 2002, when Duggar was 14 years old. Jim Bob Duggar first found out about the incidents when one of the victims, who was one of Josh's siblings, told him that Josh had been touching her while sleeping. Josh Duggar reportedly touched her breasts and genitals. Upon finding out, Josh's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar put Josh into a Christian program as per the advice of their church elders. Josh's parents reportedly put him in a training center.

The police report also stated that several family members of the Duggar family, specifically the victims, were interviewed about the incidents. The victims reportedly confirmed them but said that they felt safe in their home, and that no other assaults were committed after Josh came home from the training center.

But even though the sexual violations were proved to be true, no investigation was reportedly done in Duggar's case. This is because the state trooper who lead the case reportedly had legal violations of his own to hide. The retired state trooper, Joseph Hutchens who lead Duggar's sexual assault case did not follow up on it from 2005, until the case reached it statute of limitation years later, when the Child Abuse Hotline investigated on it years later.

In 2012, Hutchens was sentenced to 56 years in prison for child pornigraphy. Hutcherson was imprisoned for "10 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child".

On Thursday, Josh Duggar resigned from his job as a lobbyist for the Family Research Center. "Today Josh Duggar made the decision to resign his position as a result of previously unknown information becoming public concerning events that occurred during his teenage years.

"Josh believes that the situation will make it difficult for him to be effective in his current work. We believe this is the best decision for Josh and his family at this time. We will be praying for everyone involved," the FRC President Tony Perkins reportedly said in an interview.

Duggar is now married to his wife, Anna, who is currently with child. Anna and Josh has three children.
