Movie director Duncan Jones is currently in the homestretch of creating the videogame adaptation of "Warcraft."
According to him, there are only approximately 50 more visual effects shots to go and over 900 visual effects shots have already been completed.
In a recent interview with Wired, Jones talked about what it was like recreating the videogame for the big screen and ensuring that every single character would come to life.
"It's been an incredibly ambitious thing. I think we've delivered something pretty special," he said.
Despite knowing that his team has done everything to make "Warcraft" look great for the big screen, Jones also acknowledged the fact that his movie wouldn't do great if non-gamers do not consider watching it.
"We've delivered as far as the film goes, but the challenge is going to get people in the seats in the cinemas in the first place. To find a way to convince people who haven't played 'Warcraft,'" he said.
Meanwhile, Jones also revealed that the Orcs' featured in "Warcraft" received some inspiration from "The Hulk."
According to him, the similarities between the Orcs and "The Hulk" were made possible by his visual effects supervisor, Bill Westenhofer.
"He absolutely nailed the character, and orcs feel like they may have some of the same genetic background as 'The Hulk,'" he said.
Additionally, Jones found out that Westenhofer was also an avid player of the "World of Warcraft" so everything just fell into place.
"When we found out that Jeff himself was actually an avid Warcraft player as well, it became clear how excited he was about playing in this universe. It was a match made in heaven," he added.
"Warcraft" is based off of Blizzard's popular videogame "World of Warcraft." The film is slated for release in 2016, Mstarz reported.
In other news, a photo of the Orc character Orgrim Doomhammer, to be played by Robert Kazinsky, was recently shared via Twitter by Duncan himself.
