Avid fans of Stephen King are surely not celebrating Memorial Day with a blast upon hearing the news about the Stephen King's "It" Adaptation's director Cary Fukunaga quitting the movie project. Who could party to the fullest when at the back of their head they had so many questions?

It is not new when directors would fight with their tooth and nails about their needs and requirements prior to filming a project. And the usual clash always involves the budget. The Stephen King's "It" Adaptation is not an exception. Cary Fukunaga had to debate and to insist his necessary budget and desired location in order to execute his cinematic visions of the adaptation. But here is the reality in movie industry, some movie studios would not agree on the proposal of their directors, so sometimes budgets were cut and locations were moved somewhere else from the original plan. Some directors would settle but not Cary Fukunaga.

Most people if not all know that Stephen King's "It" Adaptation was initiated in 2012. Cary Fukunaga was part of the team who planned for the development of the novel into a movie. Fukunaga had cogitated for almost 3 long years and had already envisioned on how the adaptation of Stephen King's "It" be translated into film and would make a huge difference from the TV miniseries done in 1991.

Accordingly, the cutting of budget was made because New Line had decided to do one commercialized movie instead of splitting the adaptation into two films. But that is not how Cary Fukunaga originally plan the Stephen King's "It" Adaptation would turn out. The director is ambitious of this project and he knows that he can deliver what he imagined "It" would turn out in the big screen.

Now that the director is out and the production is due this summer, what recourse does New Line has in mind? Getting a new director would mean a change of perspective. People especially those who love the book and devoted fans of Stephen King are left hanging in the air.
