Ariana Grande and ex-boyfriend Nathan Sykes rumored to be getting back together after Sykes reportedly wrote a song for Grande on his new album.
Former The Wanted member, Nathan Sykes admitted that he recently left the band to focus on making music solo. In his album, Sykes shared that pertaining to a song he wrote about his break up with Grande. But he didn't put Grande in a bad light, as he reportedly said that the "Break Free" singer would definitely want to hear it. "Knowing Ari, she'll corner me the next time we bump into each other and demand I play her the song," Sykes said. "She has nothing to worry about. I'm not scared of her reaction. It's very complimentary and emotional, actually. She will hear it and think, 'Oh. So, you do have feelings.'" He added.
When asked about the cause of the breakup of his relationship with Ariana Grande, Sykes revealed that it was the long distance between them that made everything difficult, "When some things don't work out they don't work out. Long distances and stuff like that. On different schedules and touring in different parts of the world. It's, like, sometimes it doesn't happen so easily." Sykes said.
Sykes also added that his break up with Grande wasn't an easy one for him, "The time we broke up was really tough. The Wanted decided to take a break and I lost my grandad. I was not in the best place. She was my first grown-up relationship. But sometimes you have to go into a place like that to be able to find the best music out of it" he said.
Sykes and Grande's break up may or may not be as difficult for Grande, the same way it had been for Sykes, as she was reportedly still in love with his ex-boyfriend prior to Sykes, Jai Brooks. "Nathan was a moment in time during heartbreak because she ultimately still loved Jai," a source revealed.
"Jai was her first everything and that is a very hard thing to break off from, especially for Ariana."
This seem to be quite convincing as Grande and Brooks got back together in 2014.
When asked about the status of his heart, Sykes reportedly admitted that he's "painfully single". Sykes and Grande are also said to be communicating with each other recently. Grande is currently single, after her break up with Big Sean. Sykes and Grande dated for 4 months in 2013.
