Fans of the parkour hero have been asking when will there be an Assassin's Creed Movie. The wait is over as shooting is set to start this August for a December 2016 release. But besides the movie itself, another exciting thing about it is the rise of Swedish actress Alicia Vikander. She will be starring in this new movie, as well as in the fifth Bourne franchise, according to Comingsoon.net.

Vikander's Rise in the Ranks

She has starred in films such as Royal Affair and Anna Karenina, but it was her tantalizing role as the AI robot in Ex-Machina that sweeps cinema goers off their feet. She was supposed to be in one of the hottest Cannes pick, The Circle, co-starring veteran actor Tom Hanks. Now, that movie is being reconfigured because Vikander backed out from it to pursue her roles in the Assassin's Creed Movie and Bourne 5.

This Actress is definitely climbing the stairs to Hollywood superstardom. Besides these two giant projects, according to Deadline, she will also be in Warner Bros' The Man From U.N.C.L.E., the Weinstein Co's Tulip Fever, Tom Hooper's The Danish Girl, John Wells' Adam Jones, and Jamie Dornan and Derek Cainfrance's The Light Between Ocean, where she will also co-star with Michael Fassbender.

Assassin's Creed Major Facts

IMDB shows facts about Assassin's Creed Movie. The movie will be released on December 21 2016, directed by Justin Kurzel, under 20th Century Fox and Ubisoft Motion Pictures. Besides Michael Fassbender, it will also star Marion Cotillard. The story will revolve around a bartender named Desmond Miles. He will be abducted by a mysterious company called "Abstergo Industries" to enter the mind of his ancestors to recover a certain artifact from the past.
