It's about time, Google Photo Apps rock your world! Straight from the heart of the the Search King's largely unpopular social media Google+ comes a photo app that's easy to use yet awesome in features. In more ways than one, the only rightful offshoot of the magic of Google+ Photos.
Just recently, featured in many reports, Google is set to introduce a much-reinvigorated photo apps dubbed as Google Photo app. The timeline? Google I/O 2015, May 28- 29, a tech super-gathering called the biggest Google event of the year.
What is even more amazing is Google Photo app will be available as a standalone app version and a browser version, according to the reports.
This move is the only logical next step and many Google fans have been expecting this especially those who discovered an added photo section in Google's cloud drive, Google Drive. Largely, that addition heralded what many call the inevitable.
So what's in store for the Google Photo app?
Truly, it's fortunate that early on, a better introduction complete with a tutorial awaits those who want to get their hands busy with the app. Initially, this Google Photo app will reportedly show a Photos pinwheel when set for public scrutiny.
As before, users will be able to search through photos based on the people in the photos or the objects found in the photos. And adding comfort, backing up photos is a breeze and giving them a lot of flexibility managing their photos utilizing the app.
And for better search, you can also view your photos by day or month offering a "comfortable view" which is reminiscent of the "albums" view in the old app.
If you're missing "Auto Awesome" in your current Google+ photo app, you're getting a better one with the new "Assistant" which basically has the old features plus more. This time you can create your own album, stores, movies and collages, a wider option than before.
And much much more. Users can share their photos via a link, customized of course. Also, never fear that any Tom, Dick or Harry can find your location based on the metadata as the app will reportedly allow you to remove these. Added to this, you can even share those wonderful videos that you've been rooting to spread to your inner circle for the longest time ever.
This new photo app seem to show a lot of promise. That remains to be seen in a few days when Google Photo Apps will be revealed.
