Lindsay Lohan completes 125 hours of community service just in the nick of time, 'Mean Girls' star celebrates victory

Lindsay Lohan has accomplished what many of her detractors have deemed impossible. The Mean Girls star managed to complete her 125 hours of community service just one day shy of her May 28 deadline.

The 28-year old former Disney star was seen braving the New York breeze as she headed off to another long day of court ordered labor. Many who saw her would agree that Lindsay Lohan still managed to look stylish while completing community service.

Lohan was dressed in a short floral skirt and red leather jacket as she headed off to clock another eight hour shift working at the LGBT youth center. According to a report, the Mean Girls star had to complete 116 hours since her arrival in New York this month but since it was Memorial Day weekend, she apparently only had 26 hours left to work.

Lindsay was quick to update her fans about her progress and even tweeted a picture of her with the giant building blocks at the community center. The star managed to build an entire children's playground and was happy to post her project via social media.

"We built this for the kids today! So cute!!" Lindsay posted on her Twitter.

Lindsay was given a strict deadline of May 28 to accomplish 116 hours of court-ordered labor as part of her probation for a criminal driving case back in 2012.

She was allowed to complete her community service in New York City, despite living in London. A lot was at stake for Lohan should she fail to meet the deadline. She was warned that "there will be consequences." But it looks like Lohan has nothing to worry about.

"Hard work pays off. Thank you to all those that allowed me to volunteer while in NYC. God bless you all. Amen," the star posted on her Instagram.
