'The Good Wife' latest spoilers revealed that Archie Panjabi's character may be replaced or fill in by the actress Cush Jumbo. Panjabi expressed her feelings about the final scene with Alicia and how she felt leaving the show. Aside from her Matthew Goode's character will not be seen in Season 7.
'The Good Wife' season 7 will air this fall but the courtroom drama series by CBS has lost many of its leading characters including Kalinda and Finn Polmar.
While everybody was fully aware of Archie Panjabi's exit after 6th season, the departure of Matthew Goode's character Finn was quite unexpected.
Previously, many fans were expecting some brewing romance to happen between him and Alicia in Season 7. Thus, a lot of changes might happen in the next season of 'The Good Wife'. But the chances are, the Alicia will return to her husband Peter and help him in his campaign for Vice presidency.
Goode will reprise his role in 'Downton Abbey' as Lady Mary's potential love interest, Henry Talbot. It is said that he will be back in the PBS series' ultimate season with a bang.
In the Season 6 finale, where Alicia and Kalinda had shared some quality time, seemed off. Then, we later knew that the actresses had filmed their parts separately.
Panjabi addressed the finale rumors by saying that the "the decision-making process is not something I'm privy to." This confirmed that the finale was indeed achieved with a split screen.
Panjabi also revealed that she felt "guilty" for leaving Kalinda behind. "It was such an easy decision for me [say goodbye to Kalinda] because I had made up my mind, but when I actually left, and I listened to the reaction of the fans, I felt like I betrayed them."
Meanwhile, show producers Robert and Michelle King have someone to replace or better to say, fill the void for Kalinda. British actress Cush Jumbo is said to be joining the cast of 'Good Wife' for season 7.
