A multi-year agreement has been agreed upon Bounce TV, Twentieth Television and The Bernie Mac Show. Bounce TV targets African-American audience has acquired all five seasons of The Bernie Mac show previously on Fox. The show is based on the comedian, Bermie Mac's life.
The Bernie Mac Show was up and running since year November of 2001 and was ranked number 47 in TV Guide's list of 50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time in their June 20, 2004 issue. The Bernie Mac will join several acquired sitcoms by Bounce TV such as "The Hughleys," and "The Parent Hood" to name a few.
The sitcom, originally on Fox, has been awarded by Peabody Awards, as one of the stories that matter and have gotten several Emmy Awards as well. Bernie Mac played as himself in the show, he used to be a stand-up comedian but now a parent to his two nieces and a nephew - children of a fictional sister that is on a drug rehabilitation program. Tough love and punishment is what he exercised. All of his lectures serves as a reminder of how his deep affection and touches are about.
Bernie Mac is one of those most influential dads that is looked up to by many because of the show and it's true interpretation of his daily family life encounters especially with children who are growing up to be teenagers and face a lot of transition in their lives as adults.
Viewers loved how Bernie Mac touches families and portrays them in a daily basis. His actions create a huge differences on how family should be like and it goes well with disciplining children and preparing them on how the world turn about out there for them.
The Bernie Mac show will be back on air on Bounce TV, June 1, 2015. A two back-to-back episodes of the sitcom will be on time 8:00 PM ET.
