Hulu, the pre eminent video website has recently announced that it has elevated its content chief Andy Forssell to be acting CEO while Walt Disney and News Corp decides on the future set up of the online company.
Forssell is the current Senior Vice President of Content and would take the place of CEO Jason Kilar as he departs by the end of the month. Kilar said in his Hulu blog last January 4 that he would be leaving the company. Kilar wrote, "Disney and News Corporation are currently finalizing their forward looking plans with Hulu and the senior team has been working closely with them in that process. Once the plans are finalized, a permanent decision will be made regarding the CEO position."
The third owner, NBC Universal, is disallowed to take part in any managerial decisions as agreed upon with US regulators after Comcast Corp took over NBC Universal back in 2011.
