June is definitely the most saturated month for album releases and promotions in the K-Pop music industry with comebacks of the hugest most popular groups such as EXO, BIGBANG, SHINee, 2PM, Girl's Generation, and Sistar.
Current trend boy band EXO has initially released their full-length album "EXODUS" last March and will be running for their second million sales with their next June 3 release entitled, "Love me right" containing four new songs in addition to the previous tracks which will be a repackaged album to wrap up their album promotions this year.
BIGBANG, after being away for so long, has commenced a project entitled, "MADE" which will also be the title to their final studio album that will be released on September. The first single "M" containing songs "Bae Bae" and "Loser" has skyrocketed on various music charts last May giving the group a strong head start as a foundation to the rest of their singles that are freed each month.
This June 1, "BANG BANG BANG" and "We like 2 party," which are the next songs in the "A" single had followed its predecessors in the music charts.
SHINee, which is currently promoting its fourth full-length album entitled "Odd" which was released last May 18, is reigning in the charts.
It even recently topped Billboard's World Albums Chart, and has jumped spots to number one after its episode of "Saturday Night Live Korea" aired. This is an important turning point for the album as the fans accuse agency SM Entertainment of mismanaging and not properly promoting the album after the group's almost two years of absence.
These three top groups are expected heat up the music shows on the first week of June. While SHINee will most likely wrap up by the second week, BIGBANG and EXO will be waiting for the other set of comebacks from 2PM, Girls' Generation, and Sistar.
JYP Entertainment has confirmed 2PM's comeback set for June after it was delayed due to problems with the group's music video. 2PM's album comeback last year with "Crazy" did not win any single trophy and if by chance it wins any this release facing bigger groups, it will be its first win in a long while.
Meanwhile, Girls' Generation is thrilling fans with new hair looks in alleged preparation for their June album. Just a few days ago, subunit TaeTiSeo got the fans excited uploading a dubsmash in their Instagram accounts. The video made many believe that Leader Taeyeon really went for a dramatic hairstyle change, going for a bold, half-shaved look as she has mentioned she wanted to try during the trio's reality TV show.
Members Taeyeon and Tiffany had been later spotted in a pet store buying clothes for their dogs "Ginger" and "Prince Fluffy" and a fan uploaded a picture revealing Taeyeon wearing a blonde hair with pink tips, cutting the fans' excitement short.
Lastly, Sistar has also been revealed that they are in the final stages of working on their album. An associate said, "SISTAR is working towards a mid-June comeback and is in the process of finalizing a comeback date."
The mentioned big groups EXO, BIGBANG, SHINee, 2PM, Girls' Generation, and Sistar will overlap promotions and are expected to hype up the music enjoyment of fans all in a single blessed month for the K-Pop audience.
