The release date for Persona 5 gets hinted by the fiscal report from Sega Sammy, which is the parent company of several game developers. These include Atlus. However, this is only inferred based on trends, and it leads to just a window as opposed to a specific date for launching. Aside from that, key features on the storyline of Persona 5 have been revealed by its game director.
One thing to note about the financial calendar is that it is different from the standard timing of the year. For instance, the 2015 fiscal year for Atlus ended in March 2015.
In terms of the release for Persona 5, the game developer mentioned that it will come out in Japan and the US within this year based on a recent report. Usually though, titles in the franchise have always come in advance in Japan, and it would usually take about 5 months before the game becomes released in the US.
Through examination of the trends in how the financial reports would explain the release date, it can be expected that Persona 5 will come out within October to December 2015.
Games website, Siliconera also shares an interview with Katsura Hashino, the game director for the Atlus title. He says, "For this game, we're going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance."
Comparing to the stories in the past, he adds, "this time, it's about a group of high school students that are being 'chased' by unexpected occurrences due to the justice they believe in."
A gameplay trailer has already been revealed which showed how players have the ability to manipulate teen thieves to bring down a certain government.
The release date for Persona 5 is still unclear, although it is assumed to come out late in 2015. The title will be compatible with PS4 and PS3 consoles.
