More soul-reaping happening as Dark Souls 3, sequel to the highly-successful Dark Souls Series, which saw initial offerings Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II, is expected to launch at Sony's E3 conference this month. A reliable source confided to online gaming site VG24/7.

Though details were scarce, what makes this Dark Soul iteration most awaited is this time it would be no less than the original director Hidetaka Miyazaki who is leading the team. Miyazaki is considered as the father of the Souls Series as he has directed the franchise's first offerings.

In a report originating from VG24/7, the online gaming site confirmed that Namco (Bandai Namco Holdings), the mother company of video game company Bandai - international publishers of ever-popular RPG Dark Souls series - is to announce the Dark Souls 3 in the upcoming Sony E3 event starting June 15.

The big event E3 2015 is happening in California soils at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Sony is expected to turn the world's attention into its own cadre of offerings particularly in the PS4 department - PS4 Slim including.

Bringing great delight to many Dark Souls RPG fanatics, Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura who co-directed Dark Souls 2 is to play a lesser role in this year's much-awaited iteration. As mentioned, Miyazaki will once again take the director role for Dark Souls 3.

For the uninitiated, a direct comparison of the two Dark Soul offerings is inescapable as many fans, series-followers, who have gone over both the original Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 are wont to give their own take on their experiences. While Metacritic has adjudged Dark Souls 2 as worthy or two points higher than the original, many fans and reviewers take an entirely opposite view finding the sequel's action not living up to the trademark ultra-hard difficulty level of the franchise.

Already, the Dark Souls series is looking good this year, with the re-release of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin and Bloodborne, another spiritual-follow-up offering from Hidetaka Miyazaki - and most especially with Dark Souls 3 coming.
