Apple has added two new 15-inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display to its online store. The two 15-inch Macbook Pro have set different prices and specs for each. The 15-inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display was updated last July 29, 2014.
The entry level 15-inch Macbook Pro costs ￡1599. This entry level model is packed with a 2.2GHz quadcore Intel core i7 processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.4GHz, 256GB of flash storage and 16GB of RAM. It is equipped with Retina Display and the Intel Iris Pro Graphics. It also boast a feature from the Apple Watch and the 13-inch Macbook Pro, the Force Touch.
If you want a top-class level of 15-inch Macbook Pro, here is the ￡1999 15-inch Macbook Pro with Retina display. It's a bit expensive than the entry level though. But this one is packed with higher specs having a 2.5GHz quadcore Intel core i7 with Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz, with 512GB of flash storage and 16GB of RAM. It also have the Force Touch, of course the Retina Display and Intel Iris Pro Graphics as well.
These are the only laptops that Apple has offered with dual graphics card setup, which allow users to switch graphic cards according to the kind of work being executed. Therefore, the less power-draining apps need will only use the integrated graphics that means you can save up more battery power. You can also use the specialized graphics processor for power-intensive apps.
Base on online reports, the 2015 update of 15-inch Macbook Pro with retina display may feature Intel's ''Broadwell Chip'' known to be the successor of Haswell processor. Rumors have been speculating around the internet that Apple might discontinue to update for the Macbook Pro with Retina Display.
We are hoping that Apple will still continue to bring out to market the dual graphics processor in the upcoming Macbook Pro. For now, we are still waiting for the update release of 2015 15-inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display.
