Two tweets of screenshots of the upcoming HTC One M9 version 1.40 update from an information leaker, LlabTooFer, shows that the HTC strives to lengthen the phone's battery life. This explains that the HTC is making possible to have a phone that can do tasks with minimal use of power, like surfing the internet without consuming much of the battery life.
The HTC One M9 only last for 5 hours and 12 minutes which is actually faster to get drained than the HTC One M8, according to a battery testing firm.
"Battery on M9 is getting better and better with new 1.40 base. Hope that future update won't disappoint me.'' @LlabTooFer tweeted.
The HTC One M9 version 1.40 update has been leaked to be available in the coming weeks. Though, HTC haven't announced any further info about the update.
If LlabTooFer tweets are telling the truth then this HTC One M9 version 1.40 update is awesome. Since most of 2015 smartphones released are only to get 4 or 5 hours of screen on time with just a single battery cycle, sometimes some smartphones hardly reach the 5 hours of screen on time, then this must be a standard on to smartphones. This update could be a step to betterment and a challenge to other Android OS developer.
Base on online reports, users of HTC One M9 in Taiwan has been receiving OTA update of HTC One M9 version 1.40 update, and most of HTC One M9 users are excited to have the version 1.40 update to see themselves on how awesome the update works on HTC One M9's battery life.
