Blizzard Entertainment has officially rolled out its newest multiplayer online battle arena game, "Heroes of the Storm", to PCs with a package of incentives for those who dive in the game within the week of its launch. The newest game is now available as a free download to anyone with Battle.net account.
As per CinemaBlend's report, "Heroes of the storm" features some notable characters from Blizzard's other universes including the 2002-released WarCraft 3 and its expansion Frozen Throne, the real-time strategy game, StarCraft, and the action role-playing game, Diablo.
It might look like just another release from Blizzard but the game developers have actually something in store for those who will be playing the game during the first week of its release. Gamers who engage in matches on the said timespan will be rewarded with an exclusive player portrait and a 25 percent experience boost.
But that's not all the XP boost Blizzard has prepared for its first players. According to PCGamer, the XP boost is expected to increase over the next three weeks. Gamers are set to receive a 50 percent XP lift from June 9 until June 16, and then a 100 percent boost until June 24.
Other than that, the gamers of "Heroes of the Storm" will have the chance to use up to seven heroes each week without any fees. However, if they are not satisfied with just seven, Gamespot says that additional heroes can be bought using real-world cash or in-game gold. But for the gamers to earn the in-game currency, they obviously have to level up their accounts, accomplish quests or engage in matches.
Just like other MOBA-genre games, the new game requires a lot of time to master the game especially its different characters. Also, in order to figure out the complexities of each level, a lot of practice is needed.
"Heroes of the Storm" now competes with other giant MOBA games particularly Riot Games' "League of Legends" and Valve Corporation's "Defense of the Ancients 2" (DOTA 2).
