Despite the cliffhangers that the first season had left, 'The Returned' Season 2 cancellation may be happening. Primarily, the primer season of the show has hit low ratings. Still, many fans are hopeful for it to be renewed. However, no confirmation is reported yet.
This year came 'The Returned', an English-language remake of Les Revenants, which debuted on A&E with 10 episodes. The series has started last March 9 and ended last May 11 with lots of issues needed some answers.
According to Entertainment Focus, there are lots of reasons why 'The Returned' Season 2 should happen. It includes questions like: Will Helen manage to blow up the dam? How will Tommy react about Rowan's baby daddy? Will Victor return or gone for good? Why are people coming back from the dead? Is Ben really dead? Will Adam be punished for his crimes? What's the connection between Lena and Camille? Will Jack and Claire reunite? Who else is dead? And, will there be more creepy moments?
If 'The Returned' Season 2 is renewed, those questions will surely be answered. While there is no announcement yet of the series verdict, TV Series Finale revealed that 'The Returned' Season 1 did not have blockbuster ratings since May 9, and it only garnered a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographics based on the overnights with 1.5 million total viewers. And usually, ratings like that during the 1st season of a series lead to cancellation.
Still, some fans are still hopeful for 'The Returned' Season 2 renewal. Even the executive producer Carlton Cuse is ready for it. According to Bustle, the EP is excited to explore on many ideas for Jeremy Sisto's character, if the show is renewed after all.
