Fan of the popular racing game Need for Speed have been looking forward to hearing more news about the game's reboot ever since EA Sports confirmed release of another Need for Speed title this year. Latest news includes release dates and online connection gameplay requirement.

The game developers haven't released much information about the new features, although EA Sports have announced that the Need for Speed reboot version will require players to be connected to the internet to fully enjoy the game. According to Latin Post, a representative from EA sports took to Twitter last week to confirm the connection requirement. EA also explained that being online while playing will allow players to enjoy the experience either solo or with friends. This hints at the game having a single and multiplayer modes. It has also allowed EA to push the boundaries of the overall experience they can deliver to game fans.

The news worried a few game fans since online mode could result to server congestion and ruin the gameplay experience. But EA apparently has already prepared dedicated servers and improvements to the "AllDRive system" to avoid any possible concerns and issues according to Christian Today. Despite EA's announcement, players are apprehensive about the internet connectivity requirement of the game.

Aside from the online mode feature of the game, little is known about this latest version of the game. But an Xbox leak last has given fans a sneak peak of what's in-store for the game. It seems that the Need for Speed reboot, developed by Ghost Games, will be launched on November 3 and will feature five new ways to play called Speed, Style, Build, Crew and Outlaw. There will also be "multiple overlapping stories" enabling the player to "carve your own unique path". Meanwhile, the West Coast Urban setting will be a nocturnal open world you're tasked with exploring and dominating.

Meanwhile, EA is expected to unveil its new game titles as well as updates for the Need for Speed reboot during this month's E3 conference. While a teaser was released on May 21, EA will release the full version of the trailer on June 15.
