Trends Indicate Many Issues with Markets

By

While news reports indicate that there are record high stocks and sudden currency surges, this only occurs in the United States. In other places such as Europe and Asia, the economies in these areas are slowing down making for lower stock values and weaker currencies.

Overall, world stock prices have increased in value by more than 5% in 2013 but bourses in China in Asia and Brazil in Latin America have been flat in term of dollar terms. This has caused many jitters in the market, especially in the wake of the recession that caused many to lose their shirts and their livelihoods.

Another major issue is the rate that emerging market currencies have gathered strength over the weakening US dollar. Since many central banks of many nations are in printing mode, the weakness of the greenback is worrisome as many investors have been enticed with a promise of double digit profits, continued growth and increasing consumer demand.
