Hunger Games fans, prepare yourself. We're going on a feels trip! As it has been subtly confirmed by director Francis Lawrence that they have just ended their LAST filming of the ENTIRE series on his twitter account yesterday.
The last installment of the Hunger Games series "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" is set for release on November 20 this year, and it seems the right time for the post-production to begin. But it's quite hard to believe that after all these long years, the final scene has just been filmed yesterday, and it's going to be the last that the crew and all that's involved in the production will be working together. And it's very sad to think about.
Director Francis Lawrence tweeted yesterday, "Looks like our short reunion is almost over. Last day."
He also added, "That's it. All done."
While that is quite difficult to tone out if that is the 'actual' last day of filming, as everyone in the film loves to give 'teasers', producer Nina Jacobson has also posted three days ago of a photo of their set with a stunning view of the sunrise, captioning "Sunrise. The epilogue, at last."
Looks like this has been the end of a wonderful ride for all of them, and for us fans as well.
Meanwhile, photos were posted the other day teasing fans on when the official trailer might be out, and Jacobson confirmed that yes, it will be tomorrow, June 9.
On her Facebook page, Jennifer Lawrence posted a photo of her Katniss self in her badass rebel suit along co-rebels Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Messala (Evan Ross), with the caption "6.9.15 #MockingjayPart2 #Unite"
This leaves a huge hint towards fans in regards to the date of the trailer, and was later on followed up by Josh Hutcherson (Peeta)'s post on Twitter showing a photo of himself with a black suit, and also Hemsworth.
While this had been a raging topic between fans, somebody asked Jacobson wholeheartedly on Twitter asking if the photos meant for the release of the trailer tomorrow, June 9, referencing of course the so-loved line from the book "real or not real?"
Nina then answered '6.9.15 #MockingjayPart2 #Unite' with the added word: Real.
This is real, yes. A trailer is out tomorrow. Several propaganda posters have been released since the other days, and the fervor for the film is mounting high. Until tomorrow shall wait to see what the last of the Hunger Games will look like.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 isset to be released in 2D, 3D and IMAX3D theaters on November 2015. It will be the last we'll see Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Jena Malone, Julianne Moore, Natalie Dormer and Staney Tucci, play their characters in the THG world.
What do you feel about the upcoming trailer? What do you hope to see now that the filming's ended? Share your thoughts in the comments!
