‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Spoilers: Synopsis For ‘Primavera’ Released; Showrunner Bryan Fuller Says Episode 2 Will Be About Will

By

The third season of Hannibal premiered on NBC with the episode entitled "Antipasto." Now, the network has released the official synopsis for "Primavera."

According to the network, Will will go in search for Hannibal in Italy in episode 2. After recovering, Will figured that Hannibal could indeed be in Italy and this has made him more eager to find his murderer.

However, his search for Hannibal wouldn't come easy. When Will reaches Florence, a suspecting inspector would notice him. Luckily, the inspector is also looking for Hannibal and the two would later on team up in trying to take him down, according to IBTimes.

The same publication noted that the inspector is Rinaldo Pazzi, one of the most famous characters from Thomas Harris' novel by the same title.

Meanwhile, "Hannibal" showrunner Bryan Fuller previously explained to Zap2It why he decided to bring back Will in episode 2.

"We left the finale in season 2 in Hannibal's shoes. I wanted to make sure that we're picking up and telling Hannibal's story, and focusing on he and Bedelia's relationship. I want the audience to feel the yearning for Will Graham that Hannibal feels," he said.

Fuller added that from there, he figured that the best way for audiences to miss Will even more was by withholding him from them as he was being withheld from Hannibal. With this, it would much easier and more impactful to tell Will's story.

In other news, season 3 will also focus on Hannibal and Bedelia's love story, which also became the focus of season 2. Fuller said that episode 1 will indeed be about the onscreen couple and season 2 will be all about Will. The upcoming episodes will then intergrate the first two and a bigger story will be unveiled, Latin Post noted.
