Some very familiar faces could be popping up again in season 5 of Teen Wolf, but who those may be is still anyone's guess at this point.
In an interview with People, the show's executive producer, Russell Mulachy, said there might be a re-emergence of at least one old character on the show.
"As long as you have your head on, you're fine," said Mulachy when it came to describing the bare minimum required for an old character to make a comeback.
Speculation around which former cast members may be coming back has been very active in anticipation of the season 5 premiere, and there are plenty of candidates to choose from.
Former cast members such as Colton Haynes, Tyler Hoechlin, and Crystal Reed have all been rumored to be making comebacks at least at some point in their post-Teen Wolf careers, and the possibility that one if not all of them would come back is at least present, if not yet substantial.
Interestingly, Holland Roden, who plays Lydia Martin on the show, has indicated that a character from one of the show's previous seasons will be coming back for season 5, according to Youth Health Magazine.
Roden went on to say that there any number of ways for a previous character to return on the show, so that leaves the door open for a lot of names.
Outside of Roden and Mulachy speaking cryptically about what season 5 of the show holds, and some other interviews along the way, the people behind Teen Wolf have mostly been mum about what fans can expect, according to Carter Matt.
Numerous characters are expected to grow significantly in season 5, with characters such as Scott and Derek primed to take on bigger roles.
Exciting things are coming to Beacon Hills, and fans will soon find out what they are when season 5 premieres on June 29.
