Far more than just screenings, Sydney Film Festival features huge range of events that wrap around films that cater to viewers and film enthusiasts to have during the festival. From June 3 to 14, 2015, Sydney Film Festival is on the go to feature some of the cinemas unique movie offerings in various genres.

Film Festival Australia highlighted the Sydney Film Festival and its over 60 years of illustrious story that is considered to be one of the biggest international film events in Sydney annually. Nashen Moodley, the festival's director was indeed holding on to the significant growth of the festival for the last two years of him as a director. During the year 2013, the event held the 60th year that set high a total of attendees to 143,000.

Various films are being shown this year during the festival; Snowpiercer, Fell, Black Coal, Fish & Cat, Ruin, Locke, 20,000 Days on Earth to name a few. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Sydney's winter festival are booming this year. Its ticket sales rose up to 8 percent from last year.

The government had extended their support for the festival and corporate sponsorship been strong since. The Sydney Film Festival bounced back from a financial crisis five years ago went back on track and came out strong for this year's celebration.

A lot of awards have been garnered by some of the films including Amin Palangi's Love Marriage in Kabul, Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Turkish drama Winter Sleep, just to name a few.

The Sydney Film Festival festival is up until June 14, 2015. Expect a more competitive and artistic execution of films, plots and cinema production from the participants.
