Prison Break is making a comeback to the small screens, and it is going to be massive! The drama series, which aired in 2005-2009 will be returning to Fox for a limited 12 episode run.
According to a report with TVLine, Prison Break will be the latest series to be given a series revival, following the success of 24, which went for a limited run last year. Rumors have already been circulating as early as last week that Fox just might be working on a reboot of the series.
The report with Deadline further states that the revival series will be consisted of roughly a dozen episodes and will be covering a standalone storyline. As of this writing, specific details as to the plot have not been revealed yet but many cast members are already being rumored to returning to the series. Series creator Paul Scheuring has already expressed his interest in the project. According to the report, Paul said that he already has ideas on his mind on how the episodes would go.
Actor Dominic Purcell also fueled the excitement of many Prison Break fans. The actor took to his Instagram account and hinted that he and co-star Wentworth Miller were to be returning to the series.
"Da boys are back!!!!. Stoked!!!" he posted.
The series had a loyal fanbase following the show's cancellation. Fans of the series are already speculating as to what the premise of the limited series will be. While the initial premise is unclear of the moment, fans are already anticipating the return of the series. Fox can already expect the limited series run to be a massive hit.
