The first trailer of MTV's "Scream" welcomes viewers in Lakewood and the terrifying scenes that await them. After revealing the new mask of the killer, the trailer now sees Ghostface's replacement in action as Bella Thorne screams her heart out.
For everyone who likes teenager problems, night parties, and gore, then MTV's upcoming horror television series, "Scream" is definitely the show to watch out for.
"Scream"'s first trailer was just recently released by MTV, introducing Lakewood as the series' setting. It literally welcomes viewers to the infamous place "where no one can hear you."
MTV reports that the latest trailer, the new killer terrorizes the new generation of Lakewood teenagers while their town deals with the loss of guest star, Bella Thorne, who plays Nina Patterson in the series.
Of course the new characters are familiar with the story of Lakewood's past, which makes them even more paranoid about Nina's death.
According to the latest press released posted by Collider, the death of Bella Thorne's character will expose the inner workings of the town's complex social hierarchy. Some cyberbullying will also become an issue for one character named Audrey. A nod to the story of Brandon James, the beau of Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott on the first ever "Scream" movie.
Previously, The Hollywood Reporter wrote about the new mask that will probably haunt every viewer in their dreams. Since it has been 20 years since the debut of the well-known Ghostface mask, MTV decided to replace it with an even terrifying one for the "Scream" TV series.
The "Scream" films franchise is one of the most successful and influential series under the horror genre. Its first entry, which was released in 1996, is still the highest-grossing slasher film in the U.S.
MTV is about to drop its small screen adaptation of '90s horror flick, "Scream," which will star new Lakewood teenagers. Its first trailer was recently released and teased viewers of horrific scenes that include a lot of blood, one severed head, screaming, and more blood.
