"Mad Men" is done, "Orphan Black" and "Game of Thrones" are almost over with their current season, what is there to watch now? Showtime is pleased to announce "Masters of Sex" is coming this year. Season 3 starts with Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) and Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) in 1966, during sexual revolution.
Showtime has launched the latest promo for the third season of "Masters of Sex," giving a look at Josh Charles who was given a returning role in the forthcoming season of the TV series. In the video, Josh doesn't say any word, but seen in what looks like a business meeting with Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) and Bill Masters (Michael Sheen).
Daniel Logan is portrayed by the former star of "The Good Wife," a self-made man working the perfume business. In an effort to bottle the scent of sex and promote an aphrodisiac to the general market, Dan asks out Masters and Johnson's expertise on sex. Being a charismatic salesman, Dan's collaboration with Masters and Johnson becomes complex.
The "Masters of Sex" promo clip also shows Masters and Johnson in various public affairs and press conference as they publish their research. Masters' wife is seen making out with Johnson in bed; it's going to be a really complicated three-way relationship.
The first season of "Masters of Sex," is focused almost purely on sex research and Master's endeavors to get it financed and supported. The second season, revolved on the hotel-room bottle episode "Fight," lost some of the drama's momentum as it concentrated more on the relationship between Johnson and Masters, as well as Libby's voluntary efforts in the civil rights groups. The third season will take the viewers' back to 1966, when the revolutionary sex research is finally done, Masters and Johnson travel to market it. It seems like; they will practice what they preach.
"Masters of Sex" season three will air on July 22, Sunday on Showtime.
