X-men Apocalypse spoilers: Quicksilver slow motion scene teased; Storm to sport new do?

By

A preview of a slow motion scene for the speedy Quicksilver in X-men Apocalypse was shown by director Bryan Singer. Meanwhile, the character who plays Storm may have a new look.

X-Men Apocalypse Director Bryan Singer posted on Instagram on Wednesday a behind-the-scene photo of what appears to be a slow motion sequence. Cinema Blend reports it showed actors hanging on air in wires. They will appear in the movie as if frozen in time just like the scene with Quicksilver in the prequel Xmen: Days of Future Past. Quicksilver is the son of Magneto who has the ability to run at quick speeds which makes the people around him moving very slowly as if they are not moving at all. The production is ongoing at Montreal, Canada.

Coming Soon also reported that Singer also showed a peak of the X-Mansion. X-Men Apocalypse stars Michael Fassbender as Magneto, James McAvoy as Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and Nicolas Hoult as Beast. Rose Byrne will make a comeback as Moira Mactaggert as well as Lucas Hill as Havok. The new addition to the cast are Olivia Munn who will play as Cylock, Sophie Turn as Jean Grey, Lana Condor as Jubille, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Ben Hardy as Angel and Alexandra Shipp as Storm.

Realty Today reported that Alexandra Shipp was seen in public with a new hairdo. The actress shaved her hair which made fans speculate that this might be in preparation for Storm's Mohawk look. The actress even changed her profile picture on Twitter showing the shaved head. Storm had a Mohawk do in the 1983 series Uncanny X-Men #173.

X-Men Apocalypse which is scheduled for release on May 27, 2016 will be the third of the trilogy that started off with X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past.
