Alupar Investimento SA is planning to raise 1.16 billion reais or US$574 million in its initial public offering of shares of stock. This was announced by the Brazilian energy transmission and generation company through its filing with regulatory authorities in the Brazilian bourse.
The actual pricing of the initial public offering would be April 22 according to documents submitted with regulatory authorities. The plan is to sell 40 million units tentatively priced between 18.5 reais and 21.5 reais each. Each unit purchased would be equivalent to two common shares and one common share.
There is a planned issuance of another 14 million units that may be offered as part of the transaction, according to a communique issued by the company. The underwriters for the initial public offering are Itau Unibanco Holding SA, the BTG Pactual Group, the Credit Suisse Group, Goldman Sachs as well as Banco Santander SA. These banks would oversee the marketing of the IPO.
