Rise of the Tomb Raider finally reveals gameplay footage as Microsoft holds its E3 press conference in a few hours. While cinematic trailers have been shown through the months, and with one in last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, in-game action has never been displayed in motion. With the publisher's announcement, the face of the game is about to change, as screenshots have also been revealed to further show what the Xbox One can do for Lara Croft's adventures.
The news comes from VG 24/7, which spotted the very recent tweet of the official Tomb Raider account. It says, "#E32015 is nearly here. Tune in tomorrow at 9.30AM PST for a first look at gameplay from Rise of the #TombRaider."
While fans are eagerly waiting for the in-game trailer of Rise of the Tomb Raider, another news article talks about a number of screenshots that have been posted. An observation of the images show that they are not very high resolution, albeit being captured as part of gameplay. At the same time, they are still clear enough to give an idea about the game.
It can be noted that the screenshots from Rise of the Tomb Raider come from playing the Xbox One release. With regard to a version for Xbox 360, confirmation is still needed from the developer. The setting of Lara Croft's journey is in Siberia. Compared to past releases in the franchise, there will be a lot more exploration to be done in this one.
