Apple named quite a few future advancements to the HomeKit at Worldwide Developer Conference last June 8. With the release of iOS 9, HomeKit will include support for power-driven window shades and cogency of latest sensor technology, as well as motion and carbon-monoxide detectors.

With iOS 9, Apple makes it easier for developers to apply scenes through four classified templates that can be personalized. "These scenes consist of getting up, leaving home, returning home and going to bed. If you set a scene for a bedroom around, "waking up" for example, you could set it to adjust the temperature, adjust lighting and open up your blinds," reported on Mashable.
Custom triggers in iOS 9 can be established based on other related activities or a certain schedule. You may also set scene responses. With iOS9, you could decide on certain lighting and temperature combination when you get home that would be activated when your door unlocks.
While HomeKit was merely brought up last year, Apple has evidently created several improvements to the structure as other tools and accessories are making their way on top of the trend.
