Based on the DC Comics, Steve Trevor was said to be Wonder Woman's main love interest who first appeared in December 1941 in the All Star Comics #8. Trevor is a U.S. Army intelligence officer during World War II who crash-lands on Paradise Island where he is rescued and taken care of by Amazon princess Diana. The two fall in love and Diana goes back with him to the United States where she is known as Diana Prince and Wonder Woman when in a costume. The two survive many trials through the years. Trevor was in fact killed twice in the comics.

Ischool Guide says the story of Wonder Woman dwelt on her falling in love with Steve Trevor which made her see the world and become "Wonder Woman". However, aside from Trevor, there is another character that is said to be linked with Wonder Woman, in the person of Superman. It was reported that during the New 52 reboot, Diana and Clark Kent went out on a date and Kent fell in love with Diana. In case this will push through, a pairing with Henry Cavill is one of the exciting things that can be anticipated in the movie.
That and more remains to be watched out for when Wonder Woman is shown on theatres on June 23, 2017.
