Mass Effect 4 finally gets some official updates from Bioware in EA's press conference earlier in the Electronic Entertainment Expo. With a lot of rumors surfacing the internet the past few weeks and months, it is about time that more accurate things be set in stone. Fortunately for fans, that is what just happened. Details on the gameplay through footage with awesome graphics as well as the scheduled release date are already in the know.
A cinematic trailer was shown for the Mass Effect 4, where a Johnny Cash song was playing in the background. A news article on the game noted that Bioware states that the player will play a male or female human, although the character seen in the trailer would be a different one. The setting would be in Andromeda, which is an entirely new galaxy for exciting exploration. Apart from this, the player would also maneuver the popular Mako tank and get acquainted with different characters along the way.
As for the release date of Mass Effect Andromeda, the announcement made in E3 is that it would be on the holiday of 2016. While fans expected more details on the game, it is clear that this far a launch would still leave plenty of room for development.
Nevertheless, another report notes what Bioware stated on its blog as it went, "While we aren't ready to go into too many details just yet, as you saw in the trailer and can tell by the name, this game is very much a new adventure, taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy."
The statement on the blog continued, "We knew we wanted to start with a foundation composed of the best parts of any Mass Effect game: exciting new worlds to discover, great characters, and intense action." With this, the developer intends to go beyond what fans expect the title to deliver so it would be a really unpredictable, but worthwhile game.
Mass Effect 4 will go by the title, "Andromeda." It will come out in more than a year as EA's press conference during the E3 revealed the release date marked on 2016 holiday. With a lot more information to find out, fans should keep posted every so often.
