The mutants are set to face what seems to be undefeatable enemy in X-Men: Apocalypse. Set in 1980s, 'First Class' cast members are rumored to be back to reprise their roles.
After fighting with undeniably cunning and powerful enemies, the mutants will now have to face an enemy who seem to be invincible. Apocalypse, whose given name is En Sabah Nur, which means 'The First One' will be standing against X-Men, and was last seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past manipulating a pyramid in Egypt, which caused speculations that he might be someone who has lived longer than the other mutants.
Apocalypse' roots can be traced back to ancient Egypt, and might be the first mutant to ever be born. His powers reportedly includes flight, invulnerability, superhuman strength, teleportation, and telekinesis, which probably makes him impossible to defeat. He created 4 Horsemen called Pestilence, Famine, War, and Death. Aside from that, his time spent on earth proves that he's not someone who can be easily taken down by a couple of mutants as he had probably gone through wars and enslavement. Rumors have it that Apocalypse' aim might be, to conquer the mutants and enslave them.
Meanwhile, as for the X-Men: Apocalypse' cast, 'First Class' mutants will be back, and it might be the last as Simon Kinberg said, "[Apocalypse] is definitely the close of a trilogy for those First Class characters, which isn't to say we won't see them in future movies; hopefully we will, but it's a completion of an arc for them."
X-Men: Apocalypse cast includes James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult as Beast. Also Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Lucas Till as Havok, and Evan Peters as Quicksilver are part of the cast.
X-Men: Apocalypse has been slated for release on May 27, 2016.
